Where are my knickers?.......

I was checking through my blogroll as I do every morning, and I saw that Suburban Mom has a list of words that she 'has never felt comfortable with'.

Well, the word I have trouble with is panties, I cannot stand that word being used. (and Ms Mac agrees). It just sounds so pornographic.

As many of you know, I originate from the UK and we use the following descriptions:

Knickers - Are what girls wear, but in this description you will see they are what the U.S. dictionary thinks of as bloomers.

Undies - Are what boys wear but in this description you will see they are what the U.S. dictionary thinks that women or girls wear.

Pants - Are what girls wear but in this description you will see the U.S. dictionary describing this as breathing heavily......

If I could change anything in the world it would be to get rid of Panties and just have everyone worldwide use Knickers, Undies or Pants (with the odd Boxers, Briefs at a stretch or Thongs thrown in for good measure).

I think I shall start a new club. It shall be called "Down With Panties".... no, wait.......on second thoughts........
