Songs for your life.....

If you could have three songs to describe three stages of your life what would they be?

Stages as in teens, twenties, and where you are now.

Teens - The Smiths - How Soon Is Now (I was a bit of a bedsit shoegazer, and often 'went to a club and ended up on my own')

Twenties - The Prodigy - Firestarter (It was number 1 when the girls were born - and still epitomises that time, the summer and me still clinging into rebellion way outside of my teens)

Now - Theme from Mission Impossible - Life goes on...and on...and on...and my head struggles to get round it all sometimes.

Teens: Pink Triangle-Weezer, I was always thinking of excuses not to ask someone I liked out.

Twenties: Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head-BJ Thomas, it has been one of those half decades.

The songs wouldn't really span a decade but Madonna's Vogue reminds me of when I met mr. mac (1990), Bob Marley's Is This Love reminds of dos at the Rugby Club- Good times and Spiller's Groovejet reminds me of my girlfriends I left behind in Melbourne!

Hey,

Andrena sent me to your blog. I'm still in my twenties and I'm listening to Beatles. I love Beatles. I would say they describe three stages of life pretty much if you listen to all of their songs. My personal favorite is 'Nowhere Man'.

Errr, I only have two because my twenties and now are the same. *grin*

Let's see:
teens - Criminal - Fiona Apple
Twenties/now - The Beauty of Gray - Live

Good question!

Midteens - Beatles, norwegian wood. Hadn´t a clue what is was about, just trying to be a hippie in my homedyed shirts, sensible shoes and long dull hair.

late teens - Aqua, Barbie Girl. In an attempt to change from hippie to pop-gal I went overboard.

early twenties - Billie Holiday, love me or leave me. Then came my attempt a beatnik-style. you know, hurt artistic book-loving beauty.

midtwenties (now) - NERD, She wants to move. When feed up with being the only married girl in the circle of friends, it´s nice to shake that booty to prove that I am not old and boring...yet.

Teens: Not really sure on a song for teens.... all the songs back in High School days all had meaning for me then LOL

Twenties: Celine Dion "Seduces Me" My husband and I met online in a chat room, and I heard a miniclip of this song, and fell in love with it, when we met, he had bought the CD for me as a surprise, I still love that song.

Now: Bowling for Soup "1985" This song just amuses me to no end,... it's just so true. "... when did Ozzy become an actor?" LOL "... when did Motley Crue become classic rock" Ahh yes,.... makes me feel old everytime I listen to it, yet I can giggle about it at the same time. Weren't the 80's great????

Really enjoying your blog btw, I found my way here via another blog I've started to frequent, I will be adding yours to my list of fav's as well! :o)
